Mosquitoes (A) led by excellent pitching of Whitney Robinson defeated round robin lead Trnava Panthers (SK) 8:0 in final game. Mosquitoes took the harder path to final through the extra game after loosing with Panthers in Sunday morning playoffs 7:9. It was a long day on the field, as you can see on the after the final game picture, we finished under lights around 8 p.m. in the evening.
Third place goes to Princ Zagreb (CRO), hosting together with Lady Pirates final event of 2015.
Thanks for all the effort to make this happen, also to umpires governing the games through the tropical weekend on the field.
This year 7 teams from 4 countries played almost 50 games, some pretty tied and thrilling, but all with high level of sportsmanship and passion. Our league was this year noticed and partially supported also by European Softball Federation. There are preliminary indicators that next year we will have some additional participant(s) and new country joining. Long way to go from here, but hope you enjoyed interleague 2015 and looking forward to Softball Interleague 2016!
